The network.
Made of people.
A network is people who know each other.
Not a feed. Not a follower count.
Earthgrid.com finds. Earthgrid.net connects.
Search finds pages and answers.
The network finds the people behind them.
I wrote the rules in 1998.
In 1998 I wrote down how a virtual community works.
LinkedIn launched in 2003. The network idea was five years old by then.
Early software was already running. Then the platforms came, and people scattered.
Now we bring them back.
Built on principles, not features.
Net Gain gave us the community idea.
Net Worth gave us the data idea.
People first
A community is people, not pages. Gather the people, then the content.
Seed, feed, weed
Start it. Feed the talk. Prune what does not work.
Small groups, not crowds
A few lead. Many watch. Some join in.
Your data is yours
Members control their own information. Agents work for the member.
Meet the members.
People and nodes who chose a public card.
Nobody is listed without a yes.
Bring your own community.
A network is made of nodes.
A node is an owner who brings a list of people they know.
The list can be old. Emails change. People move.
You stay in charge. We help you find who is still reachable.
We didn't lose our members. We lost the line to them.
